I'm an old fart that had been coding and maintaining systems since 1970, I'm trying to keep up with new developments. AI is a great innovation and I have used CoPilot with success, but they have a limit on it and now want $20 a month. The price isn't bad if it's the one I want to keep, but I have also tried the free Google Gemini with the same results as Copilot.

I use it for tech problems, writing and I also want to work with an illustrator. I have no qualms about paying, but is there one that does it all? Rec and your experience would be appreciated.

I personally would not pay for anything outside of coding assistants or document summarization right now. Document summaries you can get free, but you might need to pay to be able to upload larger files. All of the other features are promising, but still pretty work in progress and I'd wait before paying for anything.

GitHub Copilot integrates with multiple code editors, offers chat and code completion, costs $10 a month and is well worth it for coding help. LINK

Bing Copilot is free but it's 4000 character limit on prompts can be pretty limiting. LINK

Claude 3 is a pretty good and new model and lets you upload decently sized files for free. LINK /

Google Gemini through AI studio gives you access to some of their stronger models, like Gemini 1.5 Pro, for free because its aimed at developers LINK /
