Beckerman needs to be in everyone's starting 11, no disrespect to anyone with differing opinions, of course. He and Bradley absolutely demolished the Germans in the second half of last week's friendly.

I guess you could argue that Bradley should be in that role, but that's just not happening.

Lol... no.

Who is better? Jozy? Not consistent enough and doesn't play well at club level. Aron? Not experienced enough or strong. Deuce is still the top forward. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

This - but with Davies (or Dempsey) instead of Morris, and Feilhaber instead of Mix.

I guess we are going with ideal and not possible XI

I prefer Benny though.

I would take Jozy every day over Dempsey.

Why the sudden Dempsey hate? He's arguably been our most consistent player the last few years.

He's been very, very good in MLS this season, too. It doesn't make any sense at all.

I know what the rules say (calling this an "assault" ) but come on. If you think that Deuce is going to be suspended 3 months for this then you are higher than a giraffe's pussy.

All the recent youth tournaments have everyone hot and bothered.

Nah... I just like guys that give a shite on defense.

That hasn't been Dempsey's game since 2009.

The 3-5-2 would be a dream to see, but I don't think we'll go with a back 3 for the Gold Cup. I do hope that experiment comes back though. Especially with our young CBs, it could be a definite plan going forward.

With the 4-3-3, I'd start Johnson at RW instead of Morris. Let Jordan come off the bench with that energy to run at already tired defenders. Garza or Shea in at LB.

I think the 4-4-2 is the most likely. Personally, I think Bedoya has been totally listless for us (not sure about his club form lately), so I'd move Fab over to RM (which also frees Yedlin to go forward more because Fabian can definitely cover if Yedlin gets caught upfield) and slot Brek in at LM. I'm not sure if Morris or Johannsson would/should start.

With me, this isn't sudden. I've felt that he's been massively overrated the past 3 years or so.

He at least tracked back when he was used mostly as a left mid... Ever since he moved to the middle, though? Nah.

Clint might be a bit overrated, but he has been integral to our success. The pairing of him and Jozy is great. Clint works best as a forward when he can play underneath someone who will play high and be physical to free him up to run the channels and spaces.

Kind of prefer Yedlin as an early 2nd half sub to take on tired opposition with pace.

I would rather a pace guy be paired with Jozy as the target forward a la CD9 in 2009.

FUUUUUCK... I'm still pissed he got in that wreck.

Play him at forward fine, but Jurgen likes him in the hole. Have to track back a little.

I feel the same way about both Yedlin and Morris, for now.
