Jurgen made a lot of connections, plus we have a bunch of dual-citizens who were born there to American servicemen stationed in Germany.

We also had a lot of players in Germany before Jurgen was manager and that weren't born in Germany. (Bradley, Keller, Cherundolo, Beasley, Caligiuri, Casey, Clark, Donovan, Dooley, Feilhaber, Hejduk, Kirovski, Mathis, Reyna, Sanneh, Williams, Wynalda, etc.)
