I feel Jurgen has it figured out. Yedlin is too dynamic to play RB & occasionally make runs into the 3rd. With a strong performance in the gold cup in addition to his performance in the two Euro friendlies do you think Tottenham will give him a chance at Winger? He constantly kills defenders in 1 on 1 situations either beating them, earning a foul or corner kick. Also I have yet to see him play a bad cross. Everytime he puts the ball in the box it's danger for the opposing team because it's a perfectly placed ball with tons of pace.

They turned Bale into a winger from a fullback didn't they? It wouldn't be unprecedented

That said, Yedlin must be bad in training because he couldn't get on the pitch with Tottenham

I'm not even sure how long he's been there, but I'm sure he'll adjust and do fine. I'm stoked about Yedlin, CCV, Hyndman and Zelalem. Give it about 3-4 years we could have about 4 or more guys on the 1st squad in Barclays!

It's only a matter of time before Morris is over there. EPB seems destined for Serie A

The talent pool is definitely growing.

Yedlin joined Tottenham in the winter transfer window if I'm not mistaken, so he hasn't been there long

Just a heads up man, and I'm not picking on you here, but nobody calls it that. It's usually referred to as the Premier League, EPL, BPL, or the Premiership (I can't stand this one for some reason).

Also, Barclays' sponsorship dropped after this year, I believe.

He can be a great right back. He can be an okay, one dimensional winger who does some exciting things.

Keep him at RB.

I don't know. His value in getting to the line and crossing is pretty great. What else doesn't he do that wingers should be able to do? Or better yet, how many wingers out there do those other things so well that it makes them more valuable than Yedlin and what he can do?

I said this last year

His future was not as a Back, he was better suited as a winger, pushing the tempo and sending crosses into the box.

I mean he can still do those things as a RB.

I agree with Stewie on this one. Let him work as a winger a bit for his development, but his future is at RB imo.

Modern winger has to be able to navigate tight spaces, connect with quick passes, and use both feet.

Yedlin is fast, and a good crosser.
