Everyone in the world can see that Wambach is done. Why do we keep trotting her out there

Her touch has been terrible and she just isn't near the player she was 4 years ago. She just 'exists' in the game when she used to be a force that controlled the woman's game.

Rapinoe is frustrating but she at least makes something happen. The biggest issue I have is all of the unforced errors in midfield. Why can't we sit on the ball and hold possession? We give the ball away wayyyyy too much.

France or Germany will keep our asses if we keep playing this way.

Le Somelier (spelling?) for France is legit.

Because when it comes to the USWNT, it's the name on the back of the jersey, not on the front that matters.

Not to mention she led the Sermani revolt because she wasn't the center of attack. Jill Ellis is just paying her dues to Wambach. It is that obvious that USWNT stands for US Wambach National Team. It is pure idiocy for any soccer coach to run their entire tactics through one player. The only reason that they are getting through is because they are vastly superior talent wise.

I agree. Plus, we are getting lucky in who we face; Nigeria with 10 men for most of the second half, Columbia with 10 men and their 3rd string GK for almost all of t he second half, and now a China team that is only here because of 2 goals off of bogus calls. We haven't scored a goal in the run of play against a full squad in about 290 minutes. The only good thing is that with the Fox coverage, they haven't been sugar coating it and making excuses like the WWl did in 2003, 2007, and 2011 when they played badly. If we lose, people won't be as shocked and bewildered as they were in the past.
