Went to Rio last year and had an absolute blast. One of the guys said we should just do it every 4 years til life gets in the way (we are 30 now so we may never make it to another since life may be in the way very soon)

I don't know about that. Russia is somewhat accessible for the rest of the world outside of the Americas. The Euros can all make it there easily, as well as the Asians. Americans/South Americans may not make it out in force but there will be a ton there

I think people will travel well for Russia. I do think Qatar will definitely have problems if it is even in Qatar.

But Europeans will not want to go, do you really think a country like the Dutch will want to travel to Russia after what just happened?

Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi will be popular venues, but I can't see a ton of non-Russians making the treks to Kazan, Yekaterinburg, etc.
