What is wrong with Manchester City? Goals: 29-2 at home; 12-13 on the road

Average score at the Etihad in Premier League games: 4.14-0.29

Average score on the road in Premier League games: 1.5 - 1.625

Home field advantage should not be that tremendous, neither should difficulty on the road. What is the deal with this team? I think they have a great shot to win the title if they can learn to win on the road.

It's damn miserable to watch us away from home. We struggle with teams who play a high-tempo, high pressure style.

Let's rename this thread:

What's wrong with Manchester United?

Can't win at home OR away.

Suarez has scored more goals in a week than Welbeck has the past 2 seasons

I imagine City's fan base will grow substantially this season

we're playing a very attractive style of football at home. Hopefully, we can do it more often away from home

David Moyes logic says that Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley are better options in central midfield than Fellaini. Not a United fan by any means so I don't know what's going on, but that just seems retarded to me.

But it isn't more retarded than The Chosen One benching Juan Mata so much.

Love me some Fellaini. Scratched my head when they signed him, however. I don´t see him at Manu.

Fellaini doesn't belong on a squad like United's. Theoretically (this is only theoretical because they have been playing shite soccer), their soccer is too polished for him. He's odd in the fact that he isn't great anywhere in the midfield - not a destroyer, not a passer, and not a creator. He was best for Everton when utilized as somewhat of a second striker, where he was able to bully opposing defenses on the ground and in the air, making his biggest contributions on set pieces. He's a big physical presence, and he could draw defenders and create space for whoever he was playing behind.

Again, the proof is in the pudding. He was always a "last resort" purchase by Moyes, who knows him best. He chased a handful of other midfielders, letting Fellaini's buyout clause expire, subsequently resulting in Everton putting a higher price on his head than his buyout was when Moyes finally came a callin'.

I love watching City. I have always been a closet fan. Some of that stems from my hatred for United.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. When Aguero hit the goal to snatch the title from United I broke half of the stuff in my room in celebration.
