i never see any $70+ million dollar offers, but the guy is a complete monster that has had shite service for the past few years. i want him to stay for life, but i dont understand how he is overlooked, he is a top 5 complete CF in soccer IMO

I probably wouldn't pay £70 mil for a likely shittier version of Mauro.

If I could buy any young(ish) striker in the world (outside of Mbappe), it would be him...

i dont know how he's still here (24 is still plenty young). we sold coutinho for like ~$19 million, thank god we had the sense to keep icardi until we got some owners that dont care about making money. i was worried perisic was gonna be sold this summer too but luckily the coach realized you arent gonna be able to replace him for what $35~ million buys these days

I was assuming he wasn't for sale (no release clause - not sure?) + owners not needing the money...

In years past, yeah... I think he may have been gone with the crazy money being thrown around in England...

last i can find is $25million in 2014, i guess thats the last one that went public. i wouldve quit being a fan if they did that. they had just sold countinho the year before for cheap, guess i was still pissed lol

What are your thoughts on Gabigol? A couple of years ago he was a bigger prospect than Gabriel Jesus... seems like he's a little small to be a CF and lacks pace out wide... I like him though... was hoping we'd see more of him last season...

he is young and he will get plenty of opportunities to play this year with the guys we shipped out. i hope we buy out Gagliardini though because that guy is special

Gabigol played a lot during the preseason and created a goal against chelsea, i just hope they dont rush him into a random position because he plays on the left or up front and perisic and icardi have those spots locked down. good thing is against fiorentina candreva and perisic swapped wings over and over so gabigol is gonna get plenty of opportunities as an early sub this year

Inter has been a shite show for years and Icardi still produces at a high level. Now with Spalletti there and him getting called up to the Argentine national team, it will be impossible to overlook him.

Icardi is definitely a top five #9 and his transfer value would be absurd given that he's so young.

I think we don't hear about offers for him simply because he's shown absolutely no desire to leave Inter.

If clubs looking to splash whatever necessary for a CF got any sign he was available, it's very to imagine that he would not have been above Lukaku, Morata, Aubameyang on their want list.

Inter is going to be really tough this year --even considering how strong the top of Serie A is.

They arguably had the best summer of any club in Europe by simply getting Spalletti.

Yeah, I'd have him over any of those and others, as well...

In terms of a true CF, I'd take him over Dybala, too...

Yeah, Icardi is definitely the classic #9 and is clinical on a level that really doesn't have many equals, certainly not those players listed above.

I'd guess he probably scored about the same as Dzeko last year --and while Dzeko has been surprisingly good in build up play/passing -- with probably 1/3 the chances Roma created for Dzeko.

Dybala is another story, I'd probably take him first but more because he has the ability to start putting up a string of peak Luis Suarez type seasons.

If Inter get Patrick Schick from Sampdoria to add to Icardi, they are going to be as talented as almost anyone on the frontline in the future.

Yeah, Dybala is more dynamic and versatile... but if I wanted a pure CF, I'd go Icardi..

He grew a lot this past season in regards to getting his teammates involved.. He's really developing nicely in to a WC #9..

Yeah, his GF/wife is Wanda Nara, Argentinian TV personality, "singer", instagram nudie poster, "football agent", sex tape leaker and all-around ho extraordinaire.

Maxi Lopez was married to Wanda Nara when he famously "took Icardi under his wing" when Icardi first moved to Italy.

Icardi then provided the most lucrative Italian football-related tabloid fodder of the generation as he repaid the favor by taking Wanda.

Nothing wrong with living and playing in Milan.

You guys act like Milan is some shite hole. Hard pressed to find a city that appeals to a younger player and his younger wife, who looks to be decent looking.

I don't know if anyone was really questioning why Icardi didn't try to leave Inter but simply why you haven't heard more rumors of clubs trying to pry him away the past couple of summers when Inter was struggling.

(Though I actually do think there were some "inquiries" last summer as well as the summer before but they were just shut down by Icardi renewing and showing no interest in leaving)

I agree that Inter is a huge club and actually already had a better roster than many think before this summer. Getting Spalletti as manager means they are going to be in the thick of the CL race in a Serie A that all of the sudden seems to have 5 CL level clubs.
