USWNT vs house of the rising sun FS1

Didn't see a topic for the friendly from Colorado. The Japanese women bossed the US or the first 30 min and had a golazo going up 2-0. Pugh set up Alex Morgan to get one back. 2-1 at the half

This will prob not be read. I really enjoy watching the women. I have watched them for a while even been to quite a few games growing up.
You can really see how the game has advanced. These girls have serious skill, some with serious pace and touch on the ball.
It used to be almost a joke at times. I knew I could run circles around the girls. Now, not so much. Some of these girls would straight up embarass me.
It's just really good to see. Which we could see that progression with the men.

No offense but a high level boys High School team could beat the women 6 out of 10 times. Read where the U 16 NT boys dominated them in a scrimmage. Although the game was scoreless. Last nights game was inexcusable giving up a goal in stoppage time with Japan a woman down...

Oh I get that. But I don't think you know how bad hs soccer can be. Like where I grew up, most hs were just thrown together, Club is where it was at.
But Japan has always been one of the technical teams.
I'm strictly pointing out this generation of US women are good. You can see a progression in the technical side of the game.
I'm not talking about results. I'm talking about actually being able to watch the product. It is no longer a kick ball tournament.
You can see the progression. The men have fricking regressed.
It's possible the woman were so bad it's easier to see it.

I enjoy watching the women's team as well. Watched the game the other night. I still don't know/follow soccer as much as I would like to, but I don't miss the MNT or WNT games. I'll tune in tomorrow vs Japan again. The Olympics will be fun as well.
