Start: Flo
Bench: Pepi
Cut: Sargent

Easy. Flo plays better competion and IMO has better potential than the other two. Pepi is better than Sargent and also has better long term potential.

I will take Sargent over MLS clowns any day of the week tho.

Start Flo in all scenarios.

Not that we have them this cycle, but if we need points on the road in CONCACAF and are nursing a lead, I think Sargent's current form he is very useful there. If we need a late goal against any competition I want super-sub Pepi out there.

Sargent can be deployed on the wing for depth, so he's on the bench for me over Pepi.

The real question is do we bench or cut Reyna.

I still say no because he has looked good for us in the last year despite not playing at all for BVB, but does that change if/when he has a bad game for the USMNT?

Also, it's a tricky path to navigate considering that, ideally, national teams are a meritocracy (they should be at least) and you obviously want to reward guys who are having a great club season, not to mention all of the history with Reyna and that fence only recently been mended.

I think you can make an argument for pretty much everything, except for this.

Dude has shown over the last two years that he is below average when he starts and above average when he comes off the bench for both club and country.

With rosters now being 26, we'll take 3 strikers to the next WC.

I have not seen this in fact the evidence is to the contrary at this point with Nations League rosters being 23, but this is not the point of this exercise.
I started this thread I will add my two cents. With GGG as coach I would start Sarge, sit Pepi and Cut Flo. GGG has admitted he doesn't know how to use Flo and Flo is not in form for his club. Frankly his club struggles with how to use him. GGG's system calls for lots of crosses into the box and for his forwards do a lot of hold up play. Niether of these are Flo's strong suite.

Now when the roster does come out I would bring all three plus Haji. As both Sarge and Haji can play wing. I would leave Aaronson at home.

Puli/Haji Flo/Pepi Weah/Sarge

Canada just released its roster for the Copa America playoff that coincides with the Nation League window and it was 23... the roster will be 23 players.

Flo is the best player out of these three. No need to overthink it.

Sargent is having a good year despite injury and played very well in his world cup start.

Love Pepi, but he’s still a bit raw.
