We had 20 shots and 10 on goal. Klinsmann can't put on a jersey and kick those in himself.

I mean...it'd be pretty awesome if he did, though. Better than Wondo.

Just got into the car and am heading home. I think the tactics were fine until we made our first sub. We should have had at least 3 goals in the first half alone. Jamaica only had 3-4 quality chances and they scored on two of them. The back 4 played well but the central midfielders let them down in the first half. I was ok with every decision until we started to use Mix as a DM and then we just lobbed the ball downfield for the last 15 minutes once Gordon came on. I didn't like those tactics, but Gordon played his role almost perfectly. I though both Bradley and Dreads we're poor tonight. Zardes may be a good player one day, but he is far from it right now.

The better team lost tonight.

Where were you sitting? You definitely need to rewatch this on the tv.

That's like the fifth time in the last few weeks Brooks and Alvarado have been split by a striker and conceded a goal. It's unacceptable.

I had the best seats in the house. First row of the upper deck right behind the keeper. I had a better view than anyone watching on TV did.

The AO section was awful tonight. They made a little noise during the first 15-20 minutes, but were completely silent the rest of the match. Most of the songs came from the upper deck. Also, a lot of the Mexicans were pulling for us.

Agreed. I especially thought it was genius to coax DaMarcus Beasley out of retirement to sit on the bench and leave Fabian Johnson at left back.

Giving this 90 minutes for Gyasi Zardes to play out of position and bring the full Eddie Johnson First Touch Experience to Atlanta will prove invaluable down the road.

Brooks had decent position on the first goal. The guy just made a good header and no one moves to clear it off the line. Our midfield had a terrible day passing and it had nothing to do with Jamaica.

I would have subbed both Beasley and Yedlin on in the second and used them as wingers.

It wasn't decent. It was bad. No throw could get over his head. Meaning he has to mark from the front. Not stand hopelessly behind. He and Alvarado assumed the throw would not get that far. CBs are supposed to assume the worst and clean it up.

Or how about he just body Mattucks off the spot. He probably has 40 lbs on him. I think my 175 lbs self could have given more pressure from behind to force him off the spot. Lazy lazy defending.

ETA with that said I still have no clue what Guzan was doing. Start off your line and claim anything remotely close.
