He's a RW. Not sure what there is to expound on. He's fast, made some great passes, recovered nicely. Needs to work on finishing. He's a better, faster, more offensively adept Bedoya.

I take your word for it. Would it be possible to slide Johnson/Cameron into the mix? Could possibly open up a different opportunity for DeAndre.

Trinidad & Tobago has 1 win in the hex... that was against Panama

Panama is really kicking themselves over that result

Do you think Yedlin is a midfielder?

Looking forward, I see him playing behind Pulisic in a complimentary role, e.g.
Michael Bradly. Not to say I see him as a "game manager." He and Christan should be in a direct link, so to speak.

Yedlin is the best rightback we've had since Steve Cherundolo. He has really improved as a defender since his debut with the Sounders as a teenager. He used to be kind of an awkward tweener, who didn't have a true position. Although, I guess lots of young rightbacks look like that prior to their mid-twenties.

He saved a goal today by coming in centrally after Gonzo and Besler got beat by Quintero(?). Panama didn't test his pace, like other teams did with Zusi.

It's nice seeing an American player develop into his tactical position over his young career.

So is it safe to say his defensive skills outweigh his attacking potential?

The next time Yedlin plays as a CM will be the 1st. He will never be a CM, nor should he.

Would a CDM position be possible?

Why would you want him at CDM? We have a plethora of young CDMs coming up. He's never played in the center. He's already 24. You don't want him to make the switch now, and I doubt he could even do it.

I guess that is where my lack of knowledge kicks in, I don't know much about defenders climbing through the ranks.

Climbing through the ranks? This isn't a U12 league where you stick your worst players in defense and best players on offense.

But kind of. Our best 4 are Villafana-Cameron-Brooks-Yedlin. The back ups are up in the air but those are our best 4.
