Very interested to see if we go 4-4-2 diamond again at Panama, for as good as we played, there was open space for Honduras, Bradley and Bedoya just did a really good job of closing down runs.

On the road, I'm not sure if that will be ideal. 4-2-3-1 may be the way to go, especially with Jones back from suspension. The only question though is who do you move to the bench?

Give Deuce a break after going 90? Move Pulisic out wide and bench one of Nagbe/Bedoya and put Deuce at the 10?

That makes sense to me. If so, I hope Nagbe starts so that the intent is still clear to score first and be aggressive in attack. Bring on Bedoya to help kill off another 3 points earned.

The only issue with that though is do we really want to move Pulisic from the center, especially when Panama starts a MLS-heavy backline that his runs could probably cause havoc?

I am for any formation that Pulisic plays the CAM role.

Then it becomes a choice between Dempsey as a 2nd striker or Jones as your #8. Honestly, on the road, I lean towards packing the midfield more.

I think Dempsey behind Jozy with Pulisic out wide is the play here. Bedoye on the bench. Pulisic plays on the right exclusively for Dortmund and has just as much impact doing that as he did last night playing in the middle. He switches positions a lot anyway and often ends up in the middle or up front anyway.

Pulisic, wherever he plays, will be as good or better than any other option we have. The million dollar question is what position makes him the most effective in our set up.

I just want to take a second to recognize the likely unintended, but extremely welcomed, foresight in your OP with multiple pics of The Great One.

Both his assists to Dempsey were awesome, especially the first. A perfect touch flick to hit him in stride.
