I guess this means no diamond, unless Bradley moved up next to Nagbe and Jones took over the destroyer role.

It's either a flat 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1 if I had to guess. Pulisic out wide.

Yeah, I wanted to see a diamond too at first, but the more I thought about it (and especially with Cameron a late scratch), not a chance we run that out there. I expect us to play counter-ball once the weakness at RB proves to be exploited.

Jeff Carlisle tweeted it out as a flat 4-4-2.

Ives just tweeted it out as a 4-2-3-1, so I don't think any one knows.

Not that it much matters, the only difference is whether Deuce will help out in the midfield more as a withdrawn striker, which I think he'll do instinctively anyway.

No matter what they say it is, it will pretty much play out as a 4-2-3-1 based on the personnel.

Looking at the back four, it's a bunch of ragtag guys that have never played together before. That worries me greatly.

That's what they showed on beIN. Pulisic at LM

I love the game enough to get the $3.99 Spanish add-on pack from PS Vue so I can get beIN español. Way more reasonable, and I get a few other Spanish-language channels that could sporadically be used.

The regular beIN is available with the lowest tier on PS Vue. You're wasting 3.99

I don't like it. The flat 442 with Pulisic out wide. We get some defensive solidity in the middle with Bradley/Jones which we may need with the new Omar/Ream partnership. Have they ever started with each other? What we lose is the creative focal point of Pulisic in the middle that imo was the key piece of the cog that opened everything up last match. It's the very thing that we have been missing since... Reyna? It just feels like this is a "protect the point" move. I want to see us push for 3, but I think with this formation it's going to be a very different feel to this game.

I thought Jones would be in, but I was hoping for maybe a 433 with Pulisic as a false nine. Or keep the same diamond, keep Jones on the bench, and start Bedoya on the right. What do I know?

The $35 one does, but not the $30 one.

In my opinion, with how depleted the roster has become, we are doing exactly what we should be. I think a point is perfectly acceptable here. I don't want it to happen, but we'll still be in very good shape overall as far as the Hex goes. We'll be in good shape as a national team moving forward regardless.

Well, that alone should be good for 8 pages in this thread as the match goes on.

I called the cable company once and told them I REALLY wanted to watch a US game years ago and asked how much the sports package would cost. She ended up permanently adding it to my service for a dollar! lol she was awesome.

Yeah, especially with T&T having an early goal that would have forced a draw (if not a Mexico loss) disallowed.

Figured I'd get the ball rolling.

Pretty sure he was the ref when we lost 4-0 to Costa Rica.

At least it'd be very un Mexican like to seize an unscrupulous advantage with shady tactics.
