US can likely win the group with a win tonight. Tall is out for the rest of the tourny with a broken toe, so BJ4 is likely to start up top next to Rubin. Zelalem might get the start since Sonora failed to impress last game. I hope Acosta plays in the DM position because Marky Mark was weak.

Ives' preview is here: LINK

It gets a little tough reading about some dude for what feels like years and non-stop shite about how great he is and then finding out he doesn't start on our U-20 team that beat fricking Myanmar 2-1

He has only been with the team for like 2 weeks. It's a chemistry choice, not a talent choice.

Yeah. He even joined the camp later than most of the team.

Hell. He's subbed in during both games he's been on the bench for.

Got the DVR set.

Pumped to see everyone out there, especially Zelalem assuming he plays. Only a matter of time.

I think I'll be taking a nap before this game. I hadn't realized it was tonight/tomorrow morning. I hate these around the world tournaments. And I'm too stubborn to just watch it tomorrow.

I wish someone with a better memory than me could list all the future saviors of the USMNT this board has hyped over the last several years. Not a single one has done anything.

I agree. Both these teams are tactically disciplined.

That run from Panama's CB was awesome and a great strike to finish it off.

Is Zelalem starting now? Espn has him in the starting 11 now.

Edit: Yep, looks like he is:

USA

---------------Steffen----------------
Payne--Miazga--Carter-Vickers--Acosta
-------Zalelem--Hyndman--Delgado-----
-------Arriola--Rubin--Jamieson------

New Zealand is coming out in a 5-4-1
