To be fair though, we were never going to score.

I agree, we played well enough (minus one brain fart) to get a point and I kept trying to figure out where we could have gotten a goal but we couldn't figure out the final 3rd

Tough loss and the 2nd point we've given away to top 5 clubs in the final minutes. Not sure anyone is going to catch City in the end but I believe Spurs were the team that could have barring injuries.

That train left the station a long time ago.

Not sure what this means but I'll explain better, I'm not blaming injuries, I'm saying this team could catch MC, not saying they will, if they don't have a rash of injuries down the road. Sat's loss hurts that chance though. Not sure any other team in the PL can, maybe MU.

Dele's chance was our best shot. And then maybe Sissoko's scuff?

I think I saw where Expected Goals were even. Then just converted their chance. A draw was deserved. Oh whale.

Hopefully Kane is back to Madrid.

I gotcha.
Yeah, and I agree.

My point was that if we would have had a fully fit squad going into the season and up to this point then I would have felt much better about our chances.

But with injuries to Dembele, Wanyama, Rose, Lamela, Trips, Son, and Kane all at the beginning of the season we were always behind the 8-ball.

Hopefully Alderweireld is just a minor hammy strain. Don't need him out for an extended period.

On to the knockout round. Awesome.

Huge game today, that was super fun to watch. You don't see RM get destroyed every day. COYS

I saw 3 weeks is expected.
We have Palace, then international break, so we should be fine.

Now abt today.. wow, incredible, pure bliss.
Every player for spurs today played immense.

Edit: did anyone have any doubt when Eriksen was played in on goal that he was gonna finish that? He’s so class.

Not sure if I want him and Denmark to qualify for the World Cup honestly. Feel like he could have an immense summer in Russia if so.

ETA: Also, we just beat Madrid with Davies and Trippier in the defense.

1) Thankfully we've already qualified for the CL knockout rounds.
2) Our schedule is pretty simple for this next stretch. No big games until City in mid-December.
