I just can't see that being a good idea. Let your kid play on age or a year up with GCU and enjoy the game. You don't want him playing with a bunch of college age kids. Seems like you are always chasing the "next big thing", whether it be with football or soccer. Your kids a nice player, but c'mon. You're talking about playing 4 years up. That can't be good for a kids development and I can't imagine this team would do that as anything more than a money grab.

By the way, that Hattiesburg team was fun to watch. I watched them take out the 05 Rush team in their tournament. It was a hell of a game.

There is an international player on my son’s team, his father is the president of PC...I’m sure this stretch down to ‘06 is to get him some playing time before heading back to Denmark. They offered registration and it’s absolutely free.

The level of play is no doubt higher than my son has ever been privy to, but they want to draw these kids in and give them some exposure. Maybe in a couple of years he’ll be there.

Cool that HFC beat Rush. Wish my son could have made those practices, he has a kit for that squad and could have fit in well. Coach was not happy when he insinuated we could leave football early and I told him my son was QB and it wasn’t possible. Last I heard from him, even when I reached out to offer his kit up.

So he never played with them? Could have sworn I recognized him when we played a friendly in hattiesburg early on when Louisiana was still shut down.

That team played beautiful soccer. WE played both in Jackson and I thought Rush would work them just based on size. But Hattiesburg just played better soccer and had a better keeper who made the difference.

Never in a match, just some practices and scrimmages run by college coaches.

They really do knock it around well. There was some talk of it happening again, but this U19 probably had more appeal to the international kid’s dad.

My son’s been more inspired by the top kickers in each class and kicking coaches than anything recently, maybe seeing the level of play with Port City will shock his system. He really hasn’t played in anything inspirational or testing on the pitch in over a year.

I hope to hell I’m not at that game. I doubt my son is involved at all.
