I might still follow, but I already had 2 teams to root for and both were knocked out in back to back days

I'm just saying. I'm likely in the same boat.

Are you going to start watching leagues across the globe?

Yeah, I wake up between 6:30-8 on Saturdays and Sundays even without an alarm.

That's how my dad does it, too. He can have jet lag and sleep on the plan for 45 minutes, yet he can't sleep more than 7 hours in a night.

I took after my mom in the sense that I can sleep 12-14 hours in the right situation.

I think that just about every American who isn't the child of foreigners or on an elite travel team gets into soccer the same way. They watch the US games at the World Cup. If they like it, they watch additional games of other teams (which are often played at even better quality).

Then, I'd say about a quarter of the fans start watching other USMNT matches and either MLS or EPL. The rest stick to World Cup or they become Bill SImmons fans, who watch major world games and the summer tournaments like the Euro and the World Cup when other sports are finished with their season.

Im pulling for Germany and Holland at this point.

Me too.

My husband is the kind who wakes up by 7:00 AM no matter what. If we don't have anywhere to be, me and both our kids can sleep 14-16 hours.

It drives him crazy.

That may be the reason I haven't picked an international team.

I started to get into the EPL after 2010 but graduated after that next season and got a job, so my sports allegiances were stretched much more thin than college. I've followed it very casually since (basically who has won the title each year + watching the CL final each year), but I'm definitely gonna pick it back up full time. Games are just so easy to watch and the atmosphere is fantastic

You missed one category. Or turns it on for their children who play soccer because they don't know shite about it. Then you become a fan while you are trying to figure it out for your children.
