what does the world cup do if 3 teams tie ? Do all 3 go?
Goal differential is the first tiebreaker.

Yeah someone said earlier if this game ends 0-0, we advance on a win regardless of how much.

Want a crazy lots drawing scenario?
Consider this: If the U.S., which currently has two points, a zero goal differential, and has scored three goals, beats Algeria by, say, a 1-0 score, they would have five points, a +1 differential, and four total goals. If England beats Algeria 1-0, and then ties Slovenia 2-2, all three teams -- Slovenia, England, and America, would have identical tallies, both in the group and against each other.

yeah, that was part of the question I was asking... what if all 3 are tied in points as well? I know it has a low percent chance of happening anycase
Posted on 6/18/10 at 2:32 pm to vilma4prez
they will draw lots. in other words you have a 33% of getting fricked

I'd bet my life we'd have a 100% chance of getting fricked.

If it wasn't show on live tv and we were eliminated I wouldn't believe it for a second.

I'm sure there are the conspiracies but is there a deep hate from the rest of the worl that they don't want US to advance?

Need to fix your final column, Alg will always have 1 point
Posted on 6/18/10 at 3:25 pm to macatak911
So basically win and we are through. If we tie then root for Slovenia.
Either way root for Slovenia.
Either way root for Slovenia.

So, we can tie all of our group games and still advance? This Cup only happens every 4 years, you think they would require a win. I mean it is possible there will only be one win in our group. Holy cow.
