Some funny post I saw on the Sky Sports fb post about the NFL game. Kinda reminds me how others here diss soccer

quote:

lets chase an egg whilst running in to people for 8 hours

quote:

No thanks . Don't need the sport in this country we have rugby

quote:

I remember last year attempting to see what it was all about by watching the superbowl? Final. The game lasted 2 1/2 hrs before I fell asleep from sheer boredom. The complete show was 8 hours. No wonder americans are so fat when a sinhle game is on for 8 hours a pop

quote:

even chess contains more action than american football. five second of action then ten minutes break! no wonder that all the defenders are fat! they would all die if they had to play a game of rugby!

ouch

After watching a few matches, my girlfriend now hates watching American Football games. She complains that they sit around doing nothing too much. She was blown away that there is a sports broadcast that isn't interrupted by a commercial every 10 seconds.

They'll claim soccer is gay and boring because they're afraid of anything that doesn't reaffirm that they are big, tough heterosexual men that can't be turned into man-lovers by any sport. NASCAR, though, is somehow a riveting sport of kings.

I told a few Nigerians that this was the stereotypical criticism for soccer in the States and it took fifteen minutes for them to catch their breaths after laughing so hard.

ETA: Also, Joe Hart's shampoo commercials are very awkward.

Not sure if this was posted yesterday, but BBC made God apologize for "sexist" comments after he said Torres and Vertongen were pulling at each other like a couple of little girls...

A little overboard IMO

Joe Hart's new slicked back style I saw him working at is strange after years of looking like a lesbian.

Really? This is all Andy Gray's fault. We all know that women know nothing of the offside rule, but you didn't have to let them know that. This is the fallout.

If that is the extent of his "punishment," I don't really give a shite

It's over the top, but I could see why they would want to avoid reinforcing certain stereotypes

Yeah 8 hours. That's why we are so fat we sit around for 8 hours drinking beer and eating nachos.

Streaming on NBCSports has set me free. It's great to be able to watch all of the matches consistently. Before I had to get lucky with a good stream or be at my mother's home visiting where she still had FSC to watch. Thank you for being cultured and shite, peacock people of NBC.
