One thing is for sure, and sort of in the words of Herb Brooks, "we may not be the best team in brazil, but we will be the best conditioned."
Nigeria tried to gain a foothold early but all there possession was in the midfield with little venom. The team played total defense without the ball. 10 men behind the ball with altidore up top. Everytime we turned it over, every man hustled behind the ball, got organized and defended exceptionally well. Our backline rotated very well to the weak side and our fullbacks kept the speedy wingers at bay
In the second half, our superior fitness took over. We ran all over the Nigerians. We probably deserved another goal or two. And the PK was soft, but a PK nonetheless.
We are going to be a team to reckon with especially if Jozy plays like he did today, putting away his chances and creating something out of nothing.
Strap in, this is going to be a fun ride
ETA: Maybe its the Guinness, but I think we are gonna win it all.

Agree with the OP. We looked fit as frick. I love the hustle in this team. Jurgen has done a great job motivating the squad because I've never seen so much hard work from the USMNT.
