Actually a decent showing on Saturday that deserved at least a point. That was the first good performance put in in a very long time. Play like that and the results will come

Huw is in South America meeting with Marcelo Bielsa. This would be a great hire. Especially when you consider the other name that keeps hanging around is Gus Poyet

Another good performance under Curt but only 1 point. That's 2 good games and only 1 point to show from it. Need the goals to start coming and getting the much needed results

Bielsa talk has cooled. Oddsmakers now have Di Matteo even with Bielsa as favorites to get the job

Good result today with the point at Palace. Three clean sheets in a row. Curt definitely has the defense fixed. Attack was disjointed but that was expected with 8 changes made. Ash was a beast and Barrow looked good in attack

I like him so far, still think Monk should have stayed.

But I swear to god we have to get rid of Gomiss. He is so bad. I hate him. He looks like a freaking Uricah or whatever from Lord of the rings and has the best celebration ever but we don't get to see it because he sucks at scoring.

No Monk had to go. It was sad to see but we were awful and it wasn't turning around.

Gomis is shite. I've never seen a striker understand the offside rule as much as him. He breaks down so many attacks. Striker in this window is a top priority. Absolutely a must.

Been a while.

The unbeaten streak under Guidolin came to an end this weekend. Our defending of set pieces and crosses continues to be a huge problem. Set piece defending cost us 4 points against West Brom and Crystal Palace in games we otherwise dominated.

Paloschi looks sharp and his workrate is excellent. He is really freeing up room for Gylfi who looks revitalized in this attack.

We still more width and Barrow seems the man to best provide it. He has looked excellent every appearance he has made and needs to get the starts ASAP. Scrap the diamond and go back to the 4-2-3-1 with Barrow and Ayew on the wings. Or if you must keep the diamond put Barrow in for Routledge.

Big stretch of games coming up and not getting any points against Southampton hurt:

Sat, Feb 27: Tottenham Hotspur (a)

MARCH
Tue, Mar 1: Arsenal (a)
Sat, Mar 5: Norwich (h)
Sat, Mar 12: Bournemouth (a)
Sat, Mar 19: Aston Villa (h)

2 in a row in north London and points will be tough to come by. Then 3 relegation battles in a row. That 3 game stretch will define the season and likely be the key to survival.

One defensive error from ash and we get scored on. I want modou to start. Routledge losses the ball way too much.

Dropping those points off corners was BS. We almost drew against Everton but Coleman missed that last minute chance. I hate when we go defensive after being up. We need to be more clinical in front of goal but we should be good. Sucks we are even in the position we are way better than this

What a huge fricking result yesterday. That lineup was basically us conceding a loss and we come away with 3 points.

Kingsley struggled some but did fine for his first ever league action. Cork was outstanding. Fer looked tidy.

Gomis is still so so bad. The commentators nailed it - he can get into good positions and then just basically shite himself. I wanted to murder him when in the 94th minute or so he had the chance one on one on the sideline at midfield to dribble all the way down to the corner and waste loads of time yet somehow managed to give the ball away leading to an Arsenal counter and eventual corner.

Up comes the most important 3 game stretch of the season. I expect 7 points and if we get that we should be well on our way to safety.

What a difference a week makes. Closer to Southampton in 9th than we are to relegation. Still work to be done over the next 2 games before a brutal run in.

You guys are fine. Im really thinking 36 is gonna be more than safe when it's all said and done. Maybe even 35. We're limping along and Newcastle and Norwich seem to be free falling.

We should be. This season has just been so unpredictable you never know. Safe money is definitely on Norwich, Newcastle and Villa right now
