Hannover called a press conference today. Most people suggesting that Cherundolo will announce his retirement.

Brad Evans made his arse quit?

Also FCN's coach announced that Timothy Chandler will most likely not play again this season.

Congrats to him on a long, successful career

Did he get hurt again? Can he retire after the world cup?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 8:28 am to pvilleguru
He can't seem to come back from injuries. Time had taken over

Once it's official, I request this is made into a Steve Cherundolo Appreciation Thread.

Somehow I don't think Dolo got the credit he deserved. He was an extremely good player. A 15 year career with one European club, and 11 seasons playing in the Bundesliga is nothing to be scoffed at. He really didn't win anything, but he was our most successful player abroad in terms of his career. Hopefully he will become a coach of some type.

Geoff Cameron locked in now?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 12:35 pm to LSUgators
I think it's safe to say Cameron has been locked in there for a while.
Although people will probably say if Cherundolo were healthy (which it doesn't seem like he has been for a while) he would be starting in Brazil in a few months.

Shame since he did exactly what many people want American soccer players to do

Damn, for as happy as I was about getting Green yesterday. this makes me just as sad.

Exactly. He didn't have the best size, but his technical attributes were thoroughly underrated. I was always impressed with his ability to work in small spaces. I don't know if he deserves to be in the top five of US players all time, but his resume, his play and his actual skills means he should be in consideration. I really hope he becomes a youth coach somewhere.

Dude is a legend in Hannover. He speaks German with basically no accent. I bet he transitions onto the Hannover coaching staff here pretty soon, at least as a youth coach.
