I think Benny looked better today than Torres did against Slovenia in the first half. I do agree that Benny has regressed in the past few years, but when a guy gets hot in the World Cup, you have to keep going with him.

He should either start or be our first tactical sub against Ghana. I think Buddle and Gomez are both more useful than Findley as well.

Bob's made good use of his bench, with everyone other than Goodsen and Spector getting minutes so far. Some of his subs have been a little weird, but they have actually paid off so far.

He was in the England game for maybe 15 minutes.

Spector > Bornstein IMO

I agree with this 100%.

Spector has looked every game he's played at LB for the US.

There was that game against... uhhhhh.... or that other game against.... uhhh...

Oh. He's NEVER played left back for the US. Now isn't the time to find out if he can't.

"Better the devil you know than the devil you don't."

Hell, for all we know, Spector is still running around Philly looking for Arda Turan.

I also believe the Buddle + Altidore combination made us the most dangerous

I agree with this. I like bringing Gomez and/or Benny off the bench.

Same here. I get why Bob wants the speed of Findley/Gomez but I think Jozy and Buddle are our most dangerous combo. Buddle always gets a good header or two on goal at least. Bring in the speed of Gomez/Findley as a subs.

I'm just not a Findley fan. Yes he is fast (outside of the Turkey game) but he appears to have no clue how to use it and no touch with the ball.

I'd rather those minutes go elsewhere.

Well I said Findley because he is fast, but I honestly don't want him to step on the field again. Hopefully Bob is done with him. Much rather see Gomez if we are just going for a speed striker.

And I'm a fan of Feihlhaber so I hope he keeps seeing time.

I forgot until I watched the highlights just now about Gomez's impact in the 1st half.
his first shot was great, then on his 2nd chance he nailed it right at the Gk and got the rebound on to Clint for a disallowed goal.
Deserves to see some PT over Findley for those two chances alone.

Yeah. I'm not really a big Buddle fan. I still say start Benny in the MF and Dempsey up top... Or Demps out wide and Gomez up top
