Because I refuse to get worked up over losing a consolation game against Panama.

What about the fact that they were playing in a consolation game to begin with?

Yes, but we are not talking about Brazil, are we?

Nice deflect attempt, though.

There's no deflecting.

Did you watch the Copa America? Did you watch the Gold Cup? Like really watch the games. Not bitch and moan on a message board while the TV is on in the background.

Clearly, you don't have one.

You have failed to give a direct answer in this entire thread. Hell, the first thing you started talking about was "the FIFA Generation" which had absolutely nothing to with the topic at hand.

Jamaica had a really nice team that played well throughout the entire summer.

And now you are trying to rationalize a loss to Jamaica on home soil...

The FIFA generation does not understand the fine margins on which these games are decided.

Dude, there were some fine margins sure but we got dominated by minnows that tournament.

don't get worked up about the Panama game. get worked up b/c we were in the game in the first place. i think expectations of being in the final of the gold cup isn't that crazy.

I fully expected us to make the finals. I also understood that Jamaica would be a very tough game.

100% credit to them.

Even if you take the Jamaica game out of the equation, we struggled the entire tournament (sans Cuba).

We were out possessed, out shot, and out classed start to finish. Maybe that's why your expectations were tempered against Jamaica.

I don't really see what "home soil" has to do with this. The field is the same dimensions, and it's not like it was a 90% pro-USA crowd.

There's literally no point in arguing with people still defending Klinsmann. If they haven't been convinced by now they're hopeless.

So is the problem FIFA or Football Manager?

I never said it was a problem. I'm happy that the sport is growing domestically.
