I really like SvP but his coverage of soccer on SportsCenter is painful to watch.

Unless Bob Ley starts anchoring again then we will probably continue to get poor coverage of soccer on there for the foreseeable future, especially with ESPN not owning the rights to pretty much any soccer outside of the MLS.

It's not so much what I was expecting from him; it's more along the lines of (seemingly) how far soccer has to go to become more mainstream in the US. SvP, in the same segment, talked about MMA and hockey and sounded way more confident and knowledgeable. It's simply my opinion, but SportsCenter can be a catalyst for growth in the US. It may not be as popular as it once was, but it's still mainstream sports media.
