Just to clear the air so I don't lose my soccer e-cred, I started the thread but am not the one supporting golf, I wanted to start the thread to show my roommate what the consensus is.

Take my advice on golf and your stupid roommate. Seriously, why do you live with a retard? Does this guy drool on himself?

The guy is my best friend but very air headed and ignorant to outside things. He's a pre-med major so he isn't lacking intelligence, just common sense.

IMO, it's hard to compare an individual title to a team title.

Pre med majors don't actually exist at most schools, if any. You sure he isn't lacking intelligence?

In fairness a lot of students who are "pre-med" just call that their major to save time instead of saying "I'm a biology major technically but i'm not really going to finish that major so much as work on what med school is requiring for me to be admitted." or something to that effect.

Most people in med school are douche bags, so that would explain the roommate's point of view.

A lot of people are clueless as to how important international soccer is to so many countries. I also couldn't believe that people would completely shite on Wimbledon in that thread.

What I used to do. Now I just tell people I'm going to law school; history major's too embarrassing.

I was actually proud of it today though. 5 of us out of around 40 people in my US military history class were watching the Real Madrid vs United game during the midterm review. One guy's actually from Manchester. His reactions were priceless

Most people at med school are really nice, caring, down to earth people. You're painting with a broad brush there, and it's a terrible misconception you have.

History/French double major here. If med school doesn't work out, I'm totally f'd in the A.

You can always switch to law school. 9 BIOL hours away from a BS, Chem minor, Hist major here. LSAT doesn't have shite on the MCAT either

Just being honest. About 75% of the entire population of med students I've had interactions with were overtly arrogant, thought they were God's gift to mankind, and seemed to think they were more important than everyone around them (Yes I realize those were redundant descriptions, but I'm really trying to hammer the point home here).

To be fair I may be exaggerating a bit. But not by much. I have a very poor view of doctors though, as a result, and which admittedly is a broad generalization.

But hey, if the shoe fits.

You can't compare a memory based test to a logic based test. They're two different animals.

I've taken each. That's just my experience. LSAT takes much less effort to perform well on than the MCAT. MCAT takes months of study(of a vast amount of information).

Yeah I only say that because rote memorization is one of the easiest things for me. I would absolutely love if law school was just reciting the civil code. I'd be #1 in my class.
