I did, unfortunately. It did seem really silly and strange. Which is why I don't want it changed - but I can see its appeal considering its certainly more fair (albeit, just).

I think, subliminally, referees want to make it a bit more fair for the keeper in a situation where the odds are stacked against them. They haven't ever really enforced that rule.
