I mean I doubt they were doing much last week other than some small fitness training, so I don't see the big deal with taking away one off day. And I'd like to hope a lot of them are eager to get to work with the new manager.

I mean, he did bring us as close to a title as we've come in a long time, so I do give him some credit for that (of course Suarez had a lot to do with that as well)...

Man... I really hope that isn't true. There are several stories that gave me reason to think he was a genuinely good guy, aside from the fact that Gerrard supported him to the very end.
Maybe Gerrard was just helping preserve the image of LFC overall and protecting the club from the negative perceptions that come with having an a-hole as a manager.
That changes my view of him, if true.
