This is still a pretty strong statement for the fire Rodgers cause...

I mean we needed PKs to beat a League 2 side, and only won PKs by 1 goal.

Thankfully, I couldn't watch yesterday... and I'm not going to go back and even try.

I heard we had almost 40 shots on goal... from death by 1000 passes, to shoot on sight.. desperation!

Sky and The Telegraph are reporting Klopp is ready to cut his sabbatical short for a job in the EPL...

TalkSport saying FSG are ready to pull the plug on BR, but it wont be Klopp...

I have no idea if these are reliable or just regurgitating some nonsense..

Things may start to get interesting...

Nice to see. Its obvious we are going no where with BR but we aren't that far off 4th at the moment. Hopefully there is a change and whoever they bring in has a better plan than relying on moments of brilliance.

I'd be more than happy to get Ancelotti. Actually might prefer him over Klopp.

If he's let go now, those are the only two exciting ones that aren't currently in a job..

If those 2 don't want it, do you go the caretaker route and reassess in Jan/Summer? I guess you have to..

BREAKING: Merseyside correspondent Graham Beecroft says FSG decided before the Carlisle game they will get rid of Brendan Rodgers.

Unsure how reliable Beecroft is, but here's the interview: LINK

Word.

I'm 100% down for Ancelotti or Klopp. Either one would be fine with me.

If anything Ancelotti is more proven and won't rock the boat as much. He certainly won't have a problem signing big name players.

Sounds like it definitely will not be Klopp, because someone within the organization warned FSG against him. So we shall see.

Sault I keep running into the "warned off Klopp" analysis also. I would absolutely love Ancelotti for a couple of years to show this group how to run a big club. I think Ayre and Werner are as worthless as BR but they might get a lesson taught to them by a big time, proven manager.

I just want more proof that we are getting rid of BR.

Holy shite what is happening? Things went from "Klopp wants to coach in England: Confirmed" to "BR is gone soon" in like the 2 hours I was off the internet

At least there's no reason to keep Sakho out of the lineup now

Meh I don't buy this as a reason we don't get Klopp (if it ever even happened in the first place). If anyone in the organization warned against him its BR's lap dogs, Ayre and Gordon. They're the ones who refuse to get rid of him. They were among the same who supposedly were told by Henry to appoint Gerrard as a shadow to Rodgers and somehow "lost the message" on the way. Henry is the guy that is going to make this final decision and Klopp fits his needs and wants perfectly.

And while I originally preferred Ancelotti over Klopp I worry that he's a world class manager at managing world class players. Not sure how effective he would be with FSG's financial backing and LFC's current squad.

Read earlier Teke will miss 2-3 weeks with a hammy injury. Maybe Origi will finally see the pitch!

Wishful thinking.

I hope so, too... However I expect a bunch of Ings up top alone.

Ings deserves to play at this point.

He and Sturridge I would say.

Don't worry though, Rodgers will make Sherwood look like SAF this weekend and he'll be gone by the Monday. AV always kicks our arse at home.
