New USA soccer crest leaked?

That's what I'm saying. We don't necessarily need "USA" on there. The centennial crest was perfect.

I love the centennial crest and wish it would be the full-time crest. That said, this is a huge improvement.

Read somewhere (probably here or somewhere else similarly unreliable) that they couldn't trademark the centennial crest. Not sure if that's legit but it seems to make sense.
ETA: I'll take this over the 90s clip-art crest all day but I'm not that crazy about it

At least the coloring is right on this one. (Navy top, red and white stripes, like the flag.)

I'm apparently the only person that loves the old crest. This new one looks too Nikeish. It needs to be a classic look that can withstand the test of time.

Yep and glad we're going back to the Navy (you know, the actual color on the flag). Never made sense why we switched to the royal blue last year.

Huge improvement.
One little thing I hate about the current crest which is rarely touched on is the three stars at the top - only stars near or around the top of a crest should be those earned by winning the WC. My two cents.

I like it. I would love it if they'd have made the exact same crest with a solid bit of that blue in the same shape instead of putting USA. It'd look like a Chevron ad, but at least it's not a ball entering from orbit.
