Going to be watching this Whitecaps/Sounders match without knowing much about the current states of these teams. Anyone care to give me an update so I have some sort of context while watching this game?

Sounders have been playing very well lately (except when they have to play RSL and the Galaxy); 7-2-1 in their last 10. They are trying to make up for the worst start in club history. Obafemi Martins has been on fire lately.
The Whitecaps are on a roll as well. They are 6-0-4 in their last 10 and have the MLS's leading goal scorer, Camilo.

Well the Sounders do need a win to get back into the playoff race.

Well, in MLS you're always kinda in the playoff race.
Plus the Sounders have 2-4 games in hand on everyone in the West so it's not quite as bad as the standings show at the moment.

It has to seem kinda weird to sit in that stadium and have a giant bed sheet over your head.

The Vancouver manager doesn't looks Scottish.

He's probably a stinkin' Celtic fan.

Ugh. Thought the Sounders had something going there, but that cross was horrendous...

You got excited about the Whitecaps goal and you're "Ugh" our bad cross. You're an enigma.

I'm an RSL fan who likes the Timbers best of the Cascadia group. I was excited by a goal, it didn't really matter whose!

That was really nicely done by the caps there...

Sounders have been outplayed so far and Shalrie Joseph is less than impressive. Please come back, Alonso!

Agreed. First time I've seen Vancouver this year. Impressed with their ball movement so far.

GAM with a great chance there!

Holy Cow! Nice save...

GAM seems to be going for one of the Mario Balotelli looks.
