Boot to the face is categorical though. You can't do that. It would have been a red regardless of who Mane collided with.

Its a 50/50 with an outfield player in that situation and Mane's eyes are on the ball. His foot is high before Ederson tries to play it with his head.

Nope
thats gets a yellow most the time for a typical high boot, when the player has his eye on the ball.
The GK in that situation is an outfield player, bc he left his box. Mane's boot was high and Ederson tries to play it with his head.
