Re-watched the Manchester United - Chelsea match last night, I know, how boring. Anyway, I was very pleased with the play of Tom Cleverly, I think you could make a reasonable argument for him being the best performing midfielder on the pitch, for either team.

I know there's little to no depth behind him and Carrick, but relying on Cleverly this campaign isn't necessarily a negative.

It's a negative only because he started the season the same way last year, then fell off, then became injured.

He did play very well Monday and was amazing and breaking up play and made some pretty clutch slide tackles on 50/50 balls. I hope he can keep his play up.

Moyes is trying to figure out how he can play two forwards, four wings and four defenders in one formation...or at least that's what I'm gathering from his refusal to play Kagawa and low balling on every freaking target.

United was more fun when SAF did crazy shite, like including 7-8 defenders, successfully

Moyes apparently said that Kagawa didn't make the bench due to Moyes's decision to include Nani

God damn it

Moyes was also asked about Kagawa. #MUFC boss says he had to make a straight choice between Nani/Kagawa for place on bench.

I'm having a very hard time enjoying watching United right now. Maybe it's Rooney's saga. Maybe I am still mourning Sir Alex's departure. Maybe I don't like David Moyes face. In all honesty, it's probably the last one, but regardless, something is terribly, terribly wrong.

I've watched 2/3 of their league matches, and they just don't have an identity. Not sure what Moyes is doing. Statistically you can see how much he's changed them to resemble his Everton sides (particularly in long ball stats).

I think that's what bothers me so much. I never know what to expect, and it's hard to connect with. They're doing fine because they have the talent to work with, but they won't last long if they can't get a direction.

Guillermo fricking Varela...that's our fricking move? Moyes has done nothing but talked about a war chest while lowballing on every offer. frick this shite.

This was always going to happen in my opinion.

Players used to join us just for the opportunity to work with and play under SAF. It's not like that anymore. We are going to have to prove we are still an elite side (yes, we still are) without him for players to feel comfortable about coming to Old Trafford. That's the way I see it at least.

As far as the low balling that's been going on this summer, I'm not too sure about that. Maybe Moyes has let the whole United thing get to his head and thinks that he can bully people into transfers.

It works it quite the opposite way in my opinion. Bigger clubs sometimes have to prepare themselves to pay larger transfer fees because they have the money and people know they can squeeze out just a little more money out of each transfer.

We better sign someone. Looking like Ander Herrera at the moment.

Yep, looks that way.

Also, I'm finally watching the game from yesterday. Good on Cleverley for mopping up Coutinho when the ball wasn't played out. I'm not necessarily saying the ball should have been played out but he felt that way and took care of business a la Keano would have.

NEVER a red card for the people who were claiming that too. ALWAYS a yellow.
