I thought the last two years they should dump Cabellero and just let Wright back up Hart for the CL. Its silly to use one of the 17 foreign spots on the backup GK.

I'll pass. We've seen what Joe Hart looks like when he's backed up by someone who's terrible. If they had signed Begovic, then sure, but you can't put yourself into a situation where Richard Wright is your backup CL keeper.

Edit: Do you really want to take a chance of having to start Wright against Barcelona?

I don't think Cabellero wins either, so I don't waste a roster spot on him.

He's still on the team to push Hart for all other comp's and you can make changes after the group stages if Hart wraps his leg around the goal post.

More importantly, you sign a decent backup keeper that doesn't count against the CL list.

Whooooops!

City somehow stumbled in to being the fourth largest brand in all of soccer, passing Barcelona.

This is kind of dumb. Wright has absolutely no chance. With Cabellero you don't have that much of a drop off, and you can still compete in the competition.

A back up keeper is far more important than a 5th CM or a 4th striker. Or whatever else. Nobody of any substantial quality is going to sign to play as a depth for the depth.

The obvious best case is signing a HG back up like Begovic, but they didn't. And there aren't many quality HG keepers who are going to sign to sit the bench and play in Cup matches. I'm still baffled by Begovic.

Ok
If you ask me between Caballero or Wright and Iehanecho, I take my chances that Hart can play all 6 matches and maybe you can play the kid a couple times.

I'm taking Cab. He played well against RM and Barca in la liga. I understand the other side, but if we need a backup keeper then I'm taking Cab.

Well I see about 500 Barcelona shirts for every 1 City shirt (not counting me and me kids), but if some marketing consulting company puts it on the internet it must be true.

That number includes the EPL tv deal which is what supposedly pushed City and Chelsea (who also got the big Yokohoma deal) past Barcelona.

Still fifth and from Forbes. I don't give a frick who we're in front of, but Man City is a worldwide brand and I'd like to see you discredit that statement and/or Forbes.

Thats club worth, looks at your sponsorship deals outside Etihad. Surely Nike would pay you as much as Barca if you are a comparable brand.

City's match day revenue and worldwide revenue is nothing compared to the rest

Is this supposed to be my fault or something?

Last time I checked I'm not running my mouth about having a sell-out record or anything. Trust me, that irks me and it honestly is stupid to me that they can't, especially since they added onto the stadium.

No but you can't thump your chest and actually believe you are a bigger or comparable brand to Barca, yet your ground has issues being filed.
