I think the 4-4-2 Diamond would be the best lineup for this squad
We need a new left back. Evra is slowing down.

More likely to be a 4-3-3 or a 4-5-1

----------DDG--------

Rafael--Rio--Vidic--Evra

----Cleverly---Carrick-----

Valencia---Kagawa---Nani

-----------Rooney--------

Blaines would be a great addition. I could mess with my Toffee friends also. A twofer.

So who is going to be the long-term right back?

There isn't that many decent right backs around, let along ones that would be available. Rafael is sometimes a liability but is young and we need to let him play. He could be very good in the future.

So there is a pretty good chance you post a starting XI next year without a single homegrown player. How can you stay on that high horse with a straight face?

I don't see Rafael as our long solution at right back. He was at fault for at least one of the late goals we conceded to Everton. SAF can be ruthless and if he feels that Rafael cost us the Prem he'll be gone.

Sir Alex cost you the prem with that terrible lineup he put out against Citeh.

Erm... Cleverley. Rafael is also pretty much homegrown.

I agree that he makes mistakes. I don't think that you can blame Rafael for costing us the title though. I would put more blame on Evra. Also, I don't know who there is to bring in who is better than Rafael.

Danny Welbeck.
Chris Smalling.
Tom Cleverley.
Darren Fletcher.

All of them are homegrown and could start next season.

Highly doubt he's going to be in the first choice XI.

Come on man. He spent four years at Fluminese and moved to Man Utd when he was 18. That's quite a stretch.

the Prem was lost when we drew with Everton at OT. Up by 2 with less than 10 minutes to play. Not to mention losing to Rovers at OT also.
