Bayern's dominance has as much to do with management structure as it does players. Bayern has always had good players, but when the club modernized its management it entered into another stratosphere. Outside of Bayern the Bundesliga is remarkably competitive. The amount of young talent Germany has produced since the DFB reorganized in 2000 is alarming.
France and Germany both have oversight into how clubs are run, France with its DNCG and Germany with its 50+1 rule, the ideas of which tend to work against the development of superclubs. England, which seems to have more "superclubs," doesn't have near as much oversight. I'd also argue that German, Spanish, and Italian middle tier of teams are way better than England's.

I do love the 50+1 rule, and I think that has a lot to do with how amazing the atmosphere in the Bundesliga is. Fans truly feel ownership of their teams. You don't get that everywhere. Eintracht jerseys were everywhere when I was in Frankfurt last summer. It felt very authentic.
And yeah, Bayern is such a well-run club. They run things like clockwork, and the rest of the league is scrambling to catch up. I salute them for being so well-run, it just makes the title race nonexistent at the moment. It must be pretty boring for their fans outside of the Champions League, even with all the trophies.

I could say the same, judging by your drivel on the Poli board.
Whatever.

Bingo. Dortmund's financial issues after the turn of the century really hampered our efforts to keep up. it's getting better but there's an obvious 5-10 year gap in terms of management/structural tactics. I for one don't feel like Bayern's dominance hampers the league. I wish it were more competitive at the moment, but a strong Bayern equals a strong Bundesliga IMO. We're coming back quick though, the youth within and on the periphery of our squad is alarming

Has there ever been something compareable to this melt in UCL before?
And to all the Ligue 1 haters... watch the matches before hating.
