Pepe for Valdez.

I think we would be equally frustrated with his mistakes...

The schedule is favorable the rest of the way... not quite sure this bunch is ready to seize the moment, but they are showing more and more resolve every match...

Hopefully Daniel's strain isnt too bad and he stays fit... Maybe Coutinho brings something to the table (I'm guessing as a sub at first), although Stew is playing better... its more steady than spectacular...

Looking over the last few campaigns, 70 seems to be the magic number. I haven't looked at everyone's remaining schedule to see how feasible it would be to jump to the top 4.

I am hoping for a strong performance to close out the year (even if it is a bit of fools gold) so we head into the summer with a little momentum.

We really not Tottenham to have a down turn in form... Or Chelsea to completely implode from the inside... (Calling Agent Rafa...) though I still think they have enough raw talent to push through, despite the other attributes they lack...

I was reading Blue Moon yesterday out of boredom and most said we were the best EPL team to come in to the Ethihad this year and only behind Dortmund overall...

And it felt like we were on top of their goal for a solid 85 minutes at least. Our finishing and chance creation is improving, but still frustrating to see how inconsistent we are in so many aspects. This team just needs more time to grow and realize they can boss teams around with their possession and passing, but somewhere along the way it needs to translate into goals and leading on the scoreboard.

Anyways, at least it's fun to watch the attack now. Amazing how much of an impact Sturridge has. I just feel like we're much more threatening and dangerous from anywhere on the pitch than at the beginning of the year. Hopefully Coutinho helps add to that, but I think he would also really benefit from less pressure and focus on him while playing with Suarez and Sturridge.

If we could bring in a new Gk this summer and get rid of Reina, who'd you want to look at? Just curious.

I know he was young but I was really hoping we could get that Jack Butland kid ... to me he seems to have the potential to be the future England #1

Sturridge pulled out of England's friendly against Brazil on Wednesday.

I would be really nervous letting someone so young and inexperienced take on our #1 spot... From all reports, as good as he has looked at times... He's far from the finished product and his distribution leaves a lot to be desired...

I would look at, in no particular order:

More experienced

Igor Akineev
Asmir Begovic
Fernando Muslera
Michel Vorm

If we go young:

Marc Andre Ter Stegen
Rafael (Santos)
Mattia Perin
Jason Steele

I'm sure there are many more to consider

Very interesting stat I came across. Liverpool's performances this season:

Games 1-5
2/15 points, 4 goals, 0 clean sheets

Games 6-10
9/15 points, 9 goals, 1 clean sheet

Games 11-15
8/15 points, 5 goals, 2 clean sheets

Games 16-20
9/15 points, 12 goals, 3 clean sheets

Games 21-25
8/15 points 9 goals, 1 clean sheet

The last batch of 5 games was against very tough opposition too. And all the tough games being away fixtures. So we are objectively speaking playing better than last year. Here's hoping it isn't false hope.

I just wish we could have done a deal like Zaha ... buy him then loan him back out.

You'd have to pay around 10 million pounds for Ter Stegen, I'd guess.

I'd have to imagine we'd cough that up at his age... I know he is young like Butland, but he's also played in the top division for a couple of years and is a better all around keeper...

I'd imagine Neuer is Bayern's #1 for a long time, so he'd probably be open to a move outside the Bundesliga??

I'm sure he would be open for a move, he'd be more likely if Liverpool were in a CL spot. Another great young German keeper is Ron-Robert Zieler. He actually spent some time with Manchester United's youth setup before becoming Hannover's permanent number 1.

I want Fraser Forster. Kid is one of the best young pure shot stoppers I've ever seen.

Bernd Leno? Under contract until 2017, they won't want to move him.

If Bayern Munich had to get a new keeper, my first choice would be Rene Adler.
