Corona looked like a guy who won a contest to play in a testimonial. That performance was an omnishambles. The worst of a very bad bunch. And he somehow made it 120 minutes.

But he's obviously better than Benny Feilhaber. Right, guys?

I'm obviously not a Corona fan from my pregame comments. Kid has never impressed. Yesterday he was invisible for 120 in attack. Like playing down a man. I don't get it.

Well, he usually plays a left or right attacking mid (not a winger, and certainly not a DM.)

I thought he was marginally better in the second half.

I know. It was another one of those set up to fail scenarios. But even when playing out wide he's never done much IMO

Who the frick plays a winger at defensive mid? It makes no sense.

Jurgy = Tony Mowbray

And playing out of position doesn't excuse Corona yesterday. He seriously looked like a fan. There was a point in the first half where he picked up the ball in plenty of space, took a bad touch, spun, and passed it to a Panamanian player who was far away from any American.

Herc was good. Garza could be good. Orozco scored the match winner at the Azteca.

The same guy who plays defensive mids as wingers.

Orozco isn't terrible. He has a nose for goal on set pieces (like Clarence Goodson and Bocanegra did) and he's become A LOT more disciplined tactically as he has gotten older. He's a tad small for a center back (and slow for an outside back), though.

Plays hard, too.

I wonder if a Besler/Orozco/Brooks/Gonzalez rotation would have served us better than the Alvarado/Whoever pairing we had to suffer through.
