I hope people appreciate the irony of a man who constantly deflects criticism in every imaginable way possible who then goes ahead a gives an interview blaming players for not having enough self responsibility.

He acts as if youth development isn't an issue for every country/team throughout history. I have no doubt that in 2005 he and Low expected Sebastian Diesler to run the 2006 World Cup team. Besides Ballack and Kahn, there wasn't a more apparent star. It didn't work out that way.

The reality is that likely 2/3 of prospects or more never amount to much. That makes sense. It's one thing to distinguish yourself when the pool is 18-22 and quite another when the pool is 18 to 37.

And if he's going to blame Julian Green for regressing, he knows damn well who gave that guy an unbelievable sense of entitlement.

Finally, he claims that the players don't know what to do, yet he gives them absolutely useless advice when he sees them for two weeks every few months and then he plays them out of position. So Jurgen, if the players are supposed to figure out their roles and make their way at their clubs, and there is no way to make a tangible difference in a game due to the continuous flow, why are you being paid millions of dollars?

we're still leaning on our older guys far too much.

We lean on them because Jurgy thinks they provide a better chance at victory. But... we're losing! So if we're gonna lose either way, get the young guys experience.

That's a very simply logical progression to make. But instead of understanding or admitting that, he's punishing young players because they aren't whatever enough, while still bitching that they aren't playing enough.

It's circular logic all designed to keep Klinsman from accepting any responsibility. $2.5mil for that bullshite.
