Blonde haired guy? Kind of thick and had a wicked long-shot on him?? Want to say I remember playing against yall in the playoffs in 2014 (E.D.White). Fun game.

kid from Beau Chene scored like 60 goals
Again, I remember seeing he scored like 9 goals a game a few times. Like why is this kid still even playing in the game at that point.
I'm just not a fan of stat-padding I guess.

The blonde kid was Ashton Fletcher, our coach's son, who was an excellent player in his own right. Mitchell was our CAM that game. Brown hair, average height, skinny, but with incredible ball skills. He's trying to make his way through the lower leagues of England right now, and he played for a second division team in Sweden last year.
That was one hell of a game. Y'all ended my senior year, but no hard feelings. Y'all almost upset St. Louis to win the D-III title last year. That would have been amazing. No one would have seen that coming, since St. Louis is historically so dominant in the title game.

Wow. Hope he can keep pushing through. More power to him.
Wish I could take credit for this, but sadly 2014 was my senior year as well.
But you're right, that 2014 game was just fun in every competitive way. Would go back in a heartbeat.
(Sorry about scoring that header on y'all in over-time by the way. No hard feelings )

That was you? Haha.
That was a great goal.
Other than D-I, which St. Paul's continues to dominate, this high school season is shaping up to be really competitive, especially in D-II and D-III. Playoffs will be fun.

Bingo. Haha thanks... lucky to be quite honest.
I was able to keep up with everything for a little while, but after they re-arranged all the divisions I just kind of gave up on it. Good to know that it's still competitive, that's all that really matters.

You played at uhigh? I didn't know that. I had a good friend who played there circa 1999-02.

Likely declared best team in the country for the winter season, which is the smallest season by far. Impressive, just qualifying

These sound like assumptions from someone who lives in a different country and is probably not watching a lot of LA high school soccer.
LA HS is nothing even close to on par with other parts of the country, like where I played in DC and that's not even debatable. Nice try though.

Yep, and we have some other uhigh soccer people on this board I'm pretty sure.

Awesome, but honestly, who did they play in those 10 games?
Baton Rouge High, St. Amant, Destrehan, Denham, EA, Episcopal are some they have played.
#1 Woodlawn hosts #2 Holy Cross tomorrow at 2:30 in a big time matchup in Div-II. This is a rematch of a state semifinal from last season when Holy Cross won.

St. Paul's can play with almost anybody. They have done so in National tournaments last couple of years. 7 seniors from last year are playing college.

I'm gonna be at that Woodlawn-Holy Cross match tomorrow reporting for LaPrep. Should be a good one.
Posted on 12/21/16 at 11:18 pm to Michael Stein
Isn't LaPrep a LA high school soccer forum? They do reporting too?
Posted on 12/22/16 at 12:17 am to cwil177
Yes. I am very active (a moderator) on there. We try to report big matches when we can. Especially in the playoffs when we're not busy with our own teams.
We had a great win over Bonnabel tonight. They equalized with a beautiful free kick at the end of regulation, before we won on literally the last kick of the game with a free kick from 50 yards out. Tonight and our win over Neville will help our power ranking come playoff time. The BR district for D-III is brutal. University, Episcopal, Parkview, and us are all currently top 10 teams.

Delcid is the real deal.
Watched him play with former ISLANO team Honduras against Houston Dynamo U23s last summer and he held his own.

I personally don't really know, but from everything I hear, the youth soccer in Texas is pretty big. Like I know plenty of kids/parents who drive all the place for club practice/tournaments, especially here in the metroplex.
I feel like the one big difference in Texas compared to everywhere else is that the aside from club/select baseball (not school sanctioned sports) is that all the talent is in public schools.

Nice to see the fighting Darnell Lazares doing well.
