Does he still have to wait till after the group stage to be added to the Gold Cup roster?

This guy bleeds El Tri.

I hope he never wears the Red, White and Blue in a meaningful game.

That couldn't be further from the truth. Family pressure is the only reason he went with Mexico in the first place.

Yes, he can't be added right now. And I doubt he gets called up this GC.

We know what we have in Guzan, let's see what some knew players can do.

Good to know there are still some true patriots out there.

International soccer hasn't been about national pride or being a "patriot" for a long time dude. You know this. It's business. Jermaine Jones is one of the best center midfielders the US has ever fielded. Timmy Chandler is a piece of shite. Every case is different. These judgements people come to based on knowing nothing is hilarious.

If it bothers you, why watch?

Fair enough. But it's not changing. Especially for the USMNT. The combined factors of our military presence all over the world and a dearth of real international caliber talent being developed in America are only increasing the likelihood of dual nationals representing our team.

That's actually getting a lot better.

Agreed. So the combination of better American born players and the dual nationals can only be a good thing for the future. In my eyes, at least.

I'm so glad some people on here aren't in charge of anything to do with American soccer.

I don't watch USA that much. I dislike many players we have for various reasons and don't really pay any attention to it outside of meaningful games against Mexico or the World Cup. I still root for my country of course but with far less fervor than I used to.

Having Bruce back makes me happy so at least there's that and he's making some good personnel moves so hopefully soon we can have a team that we can be proud of again.
