A top coach? Or the Spanish Sam Allardyce?

Hard to say, but I know Newcastle are more than happy to have him. He's dug them out of the shite after years of mismanagement under clowns like Carver and McClaren. He's like a more successful version of Big Sam.

Definitely a top 20 manager in the world right now. His track record speaks for itself.

Ftr I think he's hovering somewhere between Big Sam and top class. His record is missing a few PL titles.

He was also managing Liverpool during a period of terrible ownership that almost ended in administration.

I do think the game has passed him by a little - so not quite as good now as he was back then. But he's still a very very good coach who knows exactly what he wants is able to put together a squad for what he wants to do.

Still think he would have done pretty great things with England though.

He's better than anyone else we've had at Newcastle since I've been following them and by a wide margin but given the cast of characters that have come through the club in that time I'm not really sure what that means.
