Have tickets to one PL match, Chelsea at Palace on a Monday night. Anyone been to Selhurst? If so any recs?

Catching two Championship games, Leicester at Watford (Sat PM) and Ipswich at Millwall (Wed night). If anyone has been to Vicarage Road or The Den would like to hear about it. We've already learned the words to "No One Likes Us" for Millwall

Listen to Let em Come as well. One of my personal favorites. They sing it as the team comes out on the pitch. I'll be in Bermondsey in late May, hate that I'm missing them during the season.

Sehurst is cool but it’s in a sketchy part of London

Vicarage Road is fine, bland stadium and area relatively but not bad. There’s a few pubs near the ground.

Have not been to Millwall

Just because it’s south of the river doesn’t make it sketchy

It’s not a bad part of town at all

If there is anything I have learned in all my years watching the Premier League, it's that when I make it to England myself I will only wear neutral colors and if I find myself in the away end I will cheer when they score and not say shite if my team does.

How do you just find in the away end if you are rooting for the home side

Bournemouth-Chelsea ain’t the Old Firm bruv, you’ll very likely be fine.

Took my son over Christmas break to both Vicarage Road and Selhurst among others. Really enjoyed walking from the Watford Main Street area after an early dinner to the game and back. Tons of fans and a fun atmosphere around the grounds and on the walk over and back (was a Friday night game).

Selhurst was rainy and we were pretty early for the hospitality offerings but didn’t seem as much going on near the grounds. There’s a grocery store literally up against the stadium and that seemed where most were grabbing food or drinks before hand when we were walking in. Basically all that to say, maybe find a pub closer to the train station if you’re looking for one. Really enjoyed the atmosphere in the stadium though.

Away end tickets are hard to come by

The clubs control those and they don’t just end up on the market

I went to the last game before COVID shut it down back in 2020. Was Crystal Palace vs Watford. We took the train there and walked until we found somewhere to eat/drink. We stopped at a pizza spot called Momma Dough. The pizza was amazing and it’s close to the stadium. After the game we stopped by before the train ride and grabbed another proper pint! I would highly suggest going here, but I also don’t know anywhere else to go in that area.

Have fun!!

For those in the know, are there any reputable resale platforms to buy tickets for the Euros this summer? Something comparable to Stub Hub here in the US?

Go to the UEFA site and try and get in the lottery for matches or buy the ones on general sale directly

The market gets flooded with fake tickets for these tournaments

I’ve seen quite a few posts where people looking for EPL and other tickets are directed to the clubs and federations instead of the resell market due to fake tickets. Is this much worse in the UK and Europe than in the US?

I’ve used StubHub and Seatgeek for many things here and never got a fake.

Ticket touting is illegal

Selling over fv is a big no no, it’s for fan protection

If you are using stub hub etc it’s because it’s an officially authorized re seller
