Fullbacks.

If Hummels is really injured that could be a big blow. But I believe that line will sharpen up if a healthy Schweinstieger is inserted in the lineup and Lahm can go back to RB

who else played well for Germany?

Honestly, Everyone played well, but there was so much space on the field --especially on the right side-- for the Germans against a 10-man Portugal side.

Did Neuer look like the #1GK in the world? How was Khediras form?

Neuer made a nice late save on a Ronaldo FK... but there wasn't much quality in attack by Portugal. Khedira didn't stand out to me, but he played well.

Any weaknesses for Germany?

I think they might be a bit slow on the back-line... that being said, it is a great back-line. If Hummels' injury is serious, that could shuffle their lineup a bit. They have CBs (Howedes/Boateng) playing at RB and LB. And Mertesacker is not a pacey customer. Lahm moved up to midfield which takes Schweinsteiger out of the lineup.

Unfortunately, we don't have much speed on the flanks with Bedoya/Zusi/Evans playing out wide recently. If Beasley and Johnson can make some overlapping runs, we might be able to bet behind their defense a bit, but the last thing you want to do against Germany is get caught on the break.

Does that buck nutt think Germany lost in the quarters in 2010?

I guess.

Still can't stop lol'ing at the PK called in this game and then the one not called for Portugal.

Even Michael Ballack just said it was 50/50 whether the first one was a penalty. Was a total flop.

Hurt his groin. Had to be stretchered off. Could be very serious.

What is Bastian's fitness going forward? I would think that Lahm would return to RB, especially if Hummels is out.

Just watched the highlights. Why was Pepe sent off? For calling Muller a diving bey-otch?. . . That's what it looked like.

Head butt as he did it. Not a violent one, but head butts won't be tolerated.

Hard to see at normal speed from main camera angle, but the slow mo from ground level shows the contact better.

He headbutted Müller. That pretty much warrants a red card.

Leaned in and headbutted Muller. Definite contact, too.

Full retard by Pepe. I would have a hard time containing myself in that situation, though. Would've been great were it not for the head butt. I love how Muller jumped up after the fact like he was going to do something. . . He would've gotten his arse kicked.

Pretty much. . .

You knew you could count on Muller vs Pepe to get us past this boring fair play and sportsmanship that's subdued the Cup so far. (Not that Diego Costa didn't try)
