Weah recently discussed wanting Gregg to come back (unprompted, mind you), and Pulisic reiterated his similar wishes at a nations league press conference. I almost wonder if Gregg has been given the job under the table and the players are trying to soften the blow for 1/2 the fan base 
USSF has supposedly interviewed 10+ candidates for the coaching position.
Steve Cherundolo, Thierry Henry, Luis Enrique, Patrick Vieira, Hugo Perez, Pellegrino Matarazzo, and Jesse Marsch are all mentioned by name, despite nobody being ID'd by sources.

I just think it’s wild that not only a Liga MX club offered him a job, but the largest club in the league offered him a job.

I don't necessarily think that Berhalter is wrong for the job. I do think it's fricking stupid that we wasted all this time with an interim and then interim to the interim if we were just going to retain the guy.
