Haven't heard much about him this year. Anybody know how he's done while out on loan?

he didn't light it up but is being called back to Arsenal to play in the pre season this summer to see if he sticks around in the squad or if he goes back out on loan. hopefully some competition with the first team and Wenger working with him can bring his play back up to his potential.

Maybe a silly question but why didn't I see him and J Green on our Olympic Squad vs Columbia?

Zelalem was injured. Green was healthy for the first game but was out with an illness for the second.

Actually that's false

He played very well at rangers and his loan was extended from half a season to a full season so he has not been recalled back to Arsenal. He will be back once the season is over so your post is kind of correct. But he is at rangers until the summer. He was hurt for a little bit.

yes he was hurt but I still think he could have been playing better. the creativity that he possesses hasn't been seen and there isn't the attacking threat there should be. the lack of goals, I mean just a few at least, is troubling because I believe he is very capable. perhaps we see this differently but I expected more from him because I see him having special talents.

but really I don't care that much right now, I'm an arsenal fan so I'm going into my natural depression for this time of year.

I don't think you can spin his time at Rangers as very successful either. Guy spent most of the past few months on the bench.

He played regularly. The last few months he wasn't on the bench he was hurt and now that they have been promoted he should see plenty of time.

His role with rangers wasn't to score goals. He is there to learn how to battle in the middle of the park and service othe players and he has done just fine.

No it's not. He's a DLP.

Word is Arsene plans on keeping him in the first team squad next year like Iwobi this year.

sorry but at that level of competition and his skill set even if he's lying deep and distributing he should have more assists (especially with his passing) and bagged maybe one or two.

I'm not done with the kid at all and it's incredibly difficult to gauge how a young player will develop just through stats alone but I'm not going to sit here and say his time at Rangers was stellar.
