A 24 year old player now has the wear and tear of a 32 year old

I like the idea better than the Super League and the current Club World Cup

Don't like 32 teams, way too much

Every year?

I think they are also looking at the Club World Cup happening every 4 years right? For me that's an improvement...the number of teams maybe not so much.

I really don't understand how FIFA is still allowed to run. They are corrupt as hell. The corruption spans from the matches and refs to the actual host cities dealings. Literally billions of dollars worth. If this were in the US, dudes would be going to prison.

Interested to see which one of the following awful choices they choose:

1. AFCON entire teams
2. Try to fit between the summer’s international competitions
3. Play through the season. Teams are going to fricking love Melbourne away in an already crowded season

International organizations are hard to shutter. They can travel between jurisdictions at will and route their money wherever it is most protected.

If FIFA was shuttered, I doubt it’d be replaced with anything clean.

Fun for fans.
Sucks for the players who already play too many games.

The continued expansion of these tournaments has watered them down. And I wouldn’t be surprised if UEFA first round ratings are down since 2016.

I suspect FIFA is going to throw a ton of cash for the prizes but literally no one has dreamed of winning a Club World Cup.

And no one prefers 30 million Euros and being worked to the point that you have no summer break and risk injury instead of 25 million Euros and an actual summer break in between Euro 24 and the 2026 World Cup.
