So I'm through the opening window with Leeds. I had about 7 million pounds to work with. I won the preseason tournament for an extra 5. I sold Samu Saiz (RIP) for about 9 million. I also sold some other guys to end up with about 30 million (or somewhere around there) in my transfer budget. I'm really proud of my business. This is who I bought.

Lautaro Martinez | ST | Racing Club (7.5 mil)
Ezequiel Barco | LM | Independiente (5.5 mil)
Rob Holding | CB | Arsenal (5.5 mil)
Bartlomej Dragowski | GK | Fiorentina (4.5 mil)
Marc Cucurella | LB | Barcelona B (1.5 mil)
Oliver Busquets | CDM | Barcelona B (1.5 mil)
Marcus Edwards | RM | Tottenham (1 mil)
Angel Gomes | CAM | Manchester United (1 mil)
Kyle Walker-Peters | RB | Tottenham (1 mil)

Dragowski has been solid on the last couple FIFAs for me. Martinez and Cucurella are absolute beasts. I can't recommend them highly enough for people playing with lower level Premier League sides or Championship sides.

I'm not super impressed with Barco yet. I'm hoping that I've added enough depth where I can use my promotion money (fingers crossed) to try to buy one or two star players. I'm going to do everything in my power to bring in Pulisic.

Yup.

I bought a couple of young Argentina players that SoFIFA recommended. A striker named Martinez and a LM.

That's probably the two guys I mentioned in my post. Lautaro is a beast. He reminds me of Muriel like 4 or 5 FIFAs ago.

Yeah, I got him. Aguero missed like a month and thank God I bought him

Jesus did score like 10 goals in six matches though. The Lautaro guy I've struggled with though. A lot of missed goals with him where I've shot just wide. Just need to train him up though.

I didn't see Facundo Colidio in the game. He is a BEAST on football manager.

I need to go buy FIFA 18 today. Been playing the demo for weeks and I'm loving the gameplay. Definitely better adjusted to it than years past too, I was able to beat Real Madrid on Legendary mode with Toronto first try and have played at that level only since in demo. Legendary game mode was always a tough bitch for me last year.

Did Alphonso Davies with Vancouver make it on to the game? I love career mode and loading team with up & comers

Yeah this year is definitely easier. I'm winning on world class by 3+ goals every game.

Made some a nasty calcio a squad with Niang, Icardi and Cuadrado for the cheap.

I'm scoring at will, but I can't keep clean sheets for the life of me. I think I've only kept two in 15 or so games.

I have shockingly kept clean sheets in every match but three through like 10 matches.

Bournemouthscored two, Hull scored and CSKA also scored.

Ederson is a boss.

Happy to see a few City youngsters have solid potential. Foden, Brahim, Maffeo and Garcia are all like 82+.

Bought Sessegnon, Pulisic and those two Argentinian players Jackwoods mentioned.

Pulisic covering the wings every other match is clutch.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact tGOATpionship is just a gauntlet and my back four isn't great outside of Pontus Jansson.

Possible.

I've gotten a lot better at 1v1 defending as well. But I will admit, I've gotten megged like five different times by one guy on several occasions lol.

Gameplay feels exactly the same as Fifa 17 to me. I like some of the changes to career mode though

I disagree wholeheartedly on gameplay being the same as 17.

But Maybe I'm delusional

From someone who played 700+ hours of FIFA 17, in my probably 20 hours or so thus far in 18, the biggest thing I've noticed is how much harder it is to defend, but defensive stats mean a lot now too. I've played shitty teams in the Prem and also teams in the preseason tournament who just would react late regarding marking.

Last year, that never happened. It was always tight and the defenders rotated almost flawlessly for the most part, especially in the penalty area.

Crosses and corners actually work now, regardless of how tall someone is. I've had some free headers because defenders haven't marked me. I've had Aguero win some headers for goals, which never happened in the previous games unless he was completely wide open.

Probably the most noticeable thing for most people is that keepers aren't complete gods in this game. In 17 you could have games with 20 shots on goal and not find the back of the net because they were extremely overpowered.

That's just a few of the gameplay changes I've noticed. I only play manager mode though. So things may be different online.

Sorry comrade. This debt isn't going to resolve itself.

You better believe Stuart Dallas, GOAT, Papa Pontus and Eunan O'Kane are still the spine of this team tho. I have also freed the REAL Ronaldo.
