Curious to see the responses. I played club soccer all my life, and when the cup came to the US in 1994 it was an absolute dream come true. I lived in Orlando every summer and was blessed to be able to attend all matches there. For me, I would have to say the Ernie Stewart finish from a perfectly placed chip behind the defense from Tab Ramos to go up 2-0 on Colombia in the Rose Bowl would have to be mine. Colombia was a favorite to win it all that year and picked by Pele himself. To earn the 3 points after drawing with the Swiss gave us the foundation for future success by advancing from the group for the first time in like 40-50 yrs and proving we could compete with the world powers. It was extremely vital and historic to play well when the whole world thought it was a joke when we were rewarded the World Cup. We have qualified every cup since and had some great moments, but that was what started it all. My favorite team ever, the 1994 USA World Cup squad. (Yes, I am aware we qualified for Italia 90' but they were mostly college guys and got slaughtered. At least it gave a lot of our players the experience and opportunity to experience a World Cup)

Brooks header against Ghana 14 WC because I was there and sitting near that goal.

Second was Landon's goal v Algeria as the whole bar went nuts. That will be a lot of people's favorite. Dos a cero was great too but I was a lot younger and it was so late at night/early in the morning.

Pick any goal/moment from either the Portugal or Mexico game in 2002.

I don't have a favorite goal or moment, but those two moments mean a lot to me.

The Dempsey goal against Spain in the 2009 Confed Cup. Cemented what was by far the biggest win in USMNT history in an actual competition.

It may have been a friendly, but watching the U.S. win at the Azteca will forever be one of my favorite moments.

That was pretty awesome by Orozco.

I remember being in my parents media room on break from school and going absolutely insane. My mom didn't know wtf was going on

Not the most vital..but I was in a bar with 500 people (in Hattiesburg MS) for Portugal 2014, and when Jones hit the cracker the place exploded. Beer showers, dancing on tables..I'll never forget it. God bless Ian Darke

I still get giddy when I see Jermaine Jones goal against Portugal. the Donovan goal, Bradley goal, brooks goal etc etc were all it times where I was already on the edge of my seat waiting for it.

I was sunk in the couch and almost fell off it when he struck that thing of beauty

2-0 over Mex in 2002

A lot of people forget this one, but Damarcus Beasley's goal against Turkey at the 2003 Confederations Cup was brilliant

Saïfi, with a header. Howard, gratefully claims it. Distribution, brilliant. Landon Donovan. Oh, are things on here for the USA? Can they do it here? Cross, and Dempsey is denied again! And Donovan has scored! Oh, can you believe this? Go, go, USA! Certainly through! Oh, it's incredible! You could not write a script like this! Played in, and it comes out into Landon Donovan, who strikes again. What a golden goal for the USA! If you're just joining us, there it is, the moment. Deep, deep into the match! To give the USA surely, a place in the last sixteen. It is breathtakingly exciting!

McBride goal to go up 3-0 against Portugal
Dos a Cero, Korean edition
Donovan against Algeria
Brooks against Ghana

Also want to throw in the 2013 Mexico win in Columbus since that was my first game in person.

I really think the Portugal game is where the worlds perception of US soccer changed. When we went up 3-0, most Americans were asleep, but I have to think there were a bunch of people in Europe trying to figure out what was going on.

That 1994 match against Columbia is probably mine... It was basically my introduction to the sport..

(never would have guessed it would have cost someone his life)
